-So today I figured, let's deal with right angles, because oftentimes we're given compliments when we do the right thing, so it made me think of right angles.
Have you guys ever heard of a right angle before?
It's a special angle with a special name.
Angles all have different measurements, but they're measured in what's called degrees, and in this case, a right angle is 90 degrees.
Doesn't it look just like a corner?
I figured since it's compliment day, let's take some time to talk about complementary angles and how they can make a right angle.
Let me say that again.
[ Clears throat ] A right angle can be created by what's called complementary angles.
Let's check it out.
Okay, so here's our right angle.
It measures 90 degrees.
I'm going to compare a folder that also has a right angle.
Do you see how they're exactly the same?
Now let's check out those complementary angles.
This first one measures 30 degrees, so it's not a right angle.
And even though this second one's a little bit bigger, it's still not a right angle, because it's only 60 degrees.
But let's see what happens when we put them together.
Well, there's my 60 degree angle, and here comes my 30 degree angle.
Look what just happened.
They just made 90 degrees.
Why?
Because 60 plus 30 equals 90.
Check it out.
All three right angles line up perfectly.
Wasn't that cool when we did that?
You know, we're used to getting compliments after we do the right thing, but these two complements make this right angle.
Remember, you can earn lots of compliments by doing the right thing.
I hope that you guys not only earn compliments, but you remember to give compliments.
Everybody likes hearing something special about themselves.
Anyway, you guys have a great day.
And once again, I am proud of you, and please continue to tune in and do lessons with all of us.
Alright, see you later, friends.
