WCNY Classic FM honors local music educators in our community who are dedicated to sustaining the performing arts and have had a strong positive influence on their students. These honorees, who are not only teaching music but also cultivating compassion and teamwork, receive the Music Educator Award in a surprise visit to their school and then bring a group of students to perform at WCNY studios.
