Over 1,000 acres of land are being returned to the Onondaga Nation in a historic agreement
This June, New York State, the US Department of the Interior, and the Onondaga Nation announced one of the largest returns of land to indigenous people in the history of the United States. Over 1,000 acres of land in Tully, New York that include the headwaters of Onondaga Creek will be returned to the stewardship of the Onondaga Nation.
