It’s been fifty years since Andrew Goodman, James Earl Chaney, and Michael Schwerner lost their lives in an effort to get more African-Americans to the ballot box in the state of Mississippi. We take a moment to reflect on the Freedom Summer of 1964 and the role Central New York played in the civil rights era.
