On the September edition of Connect: NY: Since 1992, New York State has been attempting to pass the New York Health Act, which would install a statewide single-payer health plan. While proponents of the NYHA argue it would cover long-term care and home-support services, critics of the bill fear the NYHA would impose higher taxes while reducing the quality of health care for all New Yorkers.
