- Back in 2015, my son just started playing Little League Baseball, and I thought it was a good idea that summer to take him up to Williamsport to see the Little League World Series.

- [Announcer] Welcome to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the home of Little League Baseball.

- So the two challenger teams just warmed our hearts up so much, and it's something that changed both of our lives.

When we went back to the hotel that night, my eight-year old son, Dylan, you know, said to me, he said, daddy, can we get involved in the Challenger program locally?

(coaches cheering) - What coach Kevin does is, it's amazing.

I just don't know where he gets the energy from.

(bat hitting ball) (coaches cheering) - They feel a sense of belonging.

They're part of it.

Just like any other kid on any other sports team, they have a place to go.

They have a practice, they have a game, they have jerseys, and with that they gain confidence, and it helps them overcome other challenges.

- Coach Kevin and his son Dylan changed my son's life.

- I mean today was a fun day.

- The buddies are also amazing with the children on the field.

It's like a little family.

They all became so close.

- [Kevin] Jose's birthday today.

(team applauding) - We actually were driving to a winter practice, and Sam from Little League called me and said, you're selected, your team's selected to go to Williamsport.

He screamed with excitement.

- I felt shocking and then I felt excited.

- And that's something I'll never forget.

- [Kevin] Never give up.

- Never give up and keep playing.

- [Kevin] On three.

- One, two, three!

- [All] Three!
